QUT Unites for Science...Again!
As anyone who saw the photos from the QUT Rally to Save Science would know, our supporters were dressed in very fashionable green T-shirts. However, what many may not realise is that the T-shirts were paid for by a single member of the team. A call was made to help reimburse that team member, and within 48 hours the target was reached. This was a tremendous result. The SOS team would like to thank everyone who contributed. It is another example of how, despite the best effort

Announcement: Update on the SoS Campaign
We wish to acknowledge and thank everyone for their support and engagement in the Save Our Science (SoS) Campaign. QUT management has listened to our collective voices during the 20-day consultation period and has now presented their responses. There have been some positive outcomes. In particular, the proposal for forced redundancies among academic staff has been withdrawn, and the planned school mergers have been delayed to allow for broader consultation in Quarter 1, 2026.

Ultimately, this could have implications for Australia’s sovereignty. Grace Koo from The C

QUT's Managment has been placed "on notice" in Queensland Parliament
The disaster over QUT Management decision to sack their science staff has reached the Queensland Parliament. On Wednesday, 15 October, former QUT student Bryson Head, the Member for Callide, spoke out against his alma mater’s decision to cut staff. Petition Reaches 1,000 Signatures!
In less than 48 hours, our petition has already reached 1,000 signatures! We’re deeply moved by the outpouring of support — it’s clear how much the Faculty of Science, and science itself, means to our students, colleagues, and the wider community. This response sends a strong message: the way QUT Management has handled this change process isn’t working. It’s time to change the change .
